I. Pre-Production

A. First project meeting:

1. Define goals & prioritize topics

2. Discuss the final format, & playback requirements

3. Develop project scope/treatment & interview questions

4. Coordinate story development with script editors

5. Determine details for the screening event or release

B. Follow-up Activities:

1. Create scope, treatment with stakeholder approval

2. Scout the recording locations

3. Check and test: lighting, audio, power options at the scene

4. Acquire permissions for area access at the date/time of recording

5. Identify available stock footage needed

6. Create storyboard and obtain stakeholder approval

7. Schedule recording dates and times for videos and any VO audio

II. Production:

A. Prepare for production:

1. Review storyboard and create shot list

2. Discuss locations and camera angles for light and audio

3. Freeze production workflow (conforming to scope, script & storyboard)

4. Schedule and confirm location date and times

5. Schedule and confirm interview date and times with interviewee

6. Collect and prepare equipment for studio or transport to the site

7. Post signage to public areas where recording takes place

B. Recording:

1. Set-up: camera, lights, audio, scene

2. Record the interview video, and b-roll

3. Review Dailies and schedule necessary pick-ups

4. Record any additional required b-roll and voice over

C. Follow-up Activity:

1. Ingest all recorded assets to a safe location and back it up

III. Post-Production

A. Prepare for post-production:

1. Collect existing video, photos, graphics, branding, animations & audio

2. Convert footage with variant format for editing

3. Organize assets into the non-linear editing software
   
   

B. Post-Production:

1. Create and organize project timeline

2. Add a-roll and synch audio in timeline

3. Add b-roll, stock footage, motion graphics, titles, audio and FX

4. Color correct all the footage

5. Create motion graphics (panned imagery, FX, titles)

6. Render first cut of the video with chosen sound bytes and soundtrack

7. Share with stakeholders for approval

C. Follow-up activity:

8. Obtain review of the first cut and document all feedback

9. Editing (Add Change Requests)

10. Export second cut for review

11. Obtain second review the footage and document all feedback

12. Freeze treatment, timing and all imagery

D. Finishing

1. Final editing (Add Change Requests)

2. Purchase stock footage and soundtrack and add to the timeline

3. Render a master version of the production

4. Encode the requested format files and post to server for download

5. Share with stakeholders for propagation to social media

6. Archive assets with metadata to the internal servers
